Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
Day 1
Masai Mara National Reserve where you will arrive in late afternoon for a breathtaking game drive till the sun goes down. Look out for wildlife species such as Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos and many more as they graze and roam around the savannah plains. You will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve: After having breakfast at your lodge on the 2nd day of your 5 days Masai Mara & Amboseli Wildlife safari, you will prepare for a full day game drive in Masai Mara national reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active and can be easily seen at this time of day such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards among others. You will have lunch at your lodge after the morning game drive in case you don’t wish to have a picnic lunch and later on after lunch, you will have another game drive as you look for other wildlife and bird species that thrill with in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 3
Masai Mara – Amboseli National Park: You will have breakfast early in the morning on day 3 of 5 days Masai Mara and Amboseli wildlife safari and then check out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve and after this you will have a morning game viewing experience in the reserve to see the wildlife species which are active during the morning and can easily be seen as you continue your drive to Amboseli national park.
You will have a stop in Nairobi for lunch and later you will continue your journey to Amboseli national park where you will check in at your lodge. You will have an evening guided tour to have a close experience with your surroundings in the national park and to enjoy views of the snow capped Mt Kilimanjaro. You will return to your lodge after your nature tour to have your dinner and overnight in the comfort of you lodge.
Day 4
Full day excursion in Amboseli: Your wildlife viewing experience in Amboseli national park will begin with breakfast at your lodge and then you will proceed for a morning game viewing experience and to enjoy photography in the savannah plains of the national park which is home to herds of elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards among others as well as different bird species.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and later in the evening, you will have another game viewing experience to search for wildlife species and to enjoy the sunset after which you will be driven back to your lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at your lodge.
Day 5
Depart for Nairobi: You will have breakfast on the last day of your 5 days Masai Mara & Amboseli wildlife safari, then continue for your morning game drive in Lake Nakuru national park during which you will see different wildlife and bird species. Your guide will drive you to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at your preferred location which will be the end of your safari.
